Yes! Everyone gather around and get ready for an exciting year in 2008. Tila officially announced that MTV will be airing a second season of A Shot at Love featuring our favorite bisexual star Tila Tequila! Will the internet’s most popular bisexual choose a girl this time?

Our favorite diva Tila Tequila hosted a great New Years Eve Masquerade Party on MTV tonight. The performances were great and the costumes were even hotter! Tila looked sexy her masquerade costumes, but where were her masks?! MTV definitely knows how to throw a party the right way with the most popular names in the entertainment industry.

It was great seeing Dani Campbell, Domenic Nesci, Vanessa Romanelli, and Ashley McNeely on the show with Tila! Tila Tequila and Bobby Banhart Break Up
On a sadder note, Tila Tequila informed everyone that her and Bobby Banhart broke up earlier that day before the show. Bobby told Tila that he couldn’t handle her hectic schedule. It seems quite unfortunate that only weeks after the reunion show that this happened! Tila’s 11 week long search for love didn’t last long. Who knows, maybe Tila will give everyone’s favorite A Shot at Love cast member Dani Campbell a call!

Apparently MTV has chosen our favorite star Tila Tequila to host the new years eve special this year. The new years eve special will air live starting 11:00 pm to 12:30 am ET/PT on December 31st and the countdown will be the “ultimate New Year’s Eve masquerade party.” Tila Tequila will be hosting the show with Damien Fahey and Lyndsey Rodrigues. Also, be on the lookout for guest appearances by cast members from A Shot at Love. Rumor has it that Bobby, Domenico, and a few others will make an appearance!

“To cap off the year with its trademark innovation, MTV held online contests in Los Angeles, Chicago, Phoenix and Austin in partnership with Time Warner Cable, Comcast and Cox Communications. Local music fans cast 3.4 million votes to help choose the one local band in each market that would come to New York City to have their very own video performance taped by MTV in Times Square. The winning bands’ videos will air live in their hometown during their respective local commercial break in the New Year’s Eve celebration. Following the on-air special’s broadcast their videos will be made available locally On Demand.”

Tila Tequila Choses Bobby!
Was MTV’s A Shot at Love with Tila Tequila just a publicity stunt for Tila Nguyen otherwise known as Tila Tequila on the internet? Or was it really the story of a lonely superstar looking for true love? In the end Tila Tequila chose Bobby Banhart. MTV’s Episode Summary
That’s right, it’s down to the final two… Dani and Bobby. The final contestants walk downstairs to find a message in a bottle. Tila wants to show them a day in the life of her.The first stop… the recording studio. Tila has Dani and Bobby write lyrics to an instrumental version of one of her songs. Now it’s time to cut their chops in front of the mic. Bobby falls a little short in comparison to Dani’s lyrics and pipes.

Moving on with the day in the life of Tila Tequila, we have the modeling aspect. Dani and Bobby individually snap off a couple roles with Tila. But it started getting a little awkward when it was all three together in front of the camera. Dani admits that it’s very different only having two people left, Tila is either always looking at one or the other. Tila tells them that she has to leave to get ready for the big final dinner later in the night.

Tila is looking ever so elegant at dinner. When Dani and Bobby arrive, Dani questions why there are so many extra place settings if it’s just the three of them. The doorbell rings to reveal Dani and Bobby’s family are there to eat with them. At dinner, both of the mothers give Tila reasons why they think they should pick their own kids.

After dinner, Tila takes the entire group to another room where her dancing poles are. Bobby’s Mom instantly jumps on a pole to show what she’s got. Tila joins in on the fun and has a minor wardrobe malfunction. Tila heads for bed and explains she has a lot to think about after this experience.

The next morning, Dani and Bobby express the anxiety that they’re going through. After breakfast, they take out the final message in a bottle. Tila has arranged a day of relaxation for the both of them before the final elimination. Both Dani and Bobby rehash their fond memories and growing love for Tila.

For Tila’s last date with Dani, she has set-up a romantic dinner. Dani has a toast to her fond memories with Tila. Dani gives Tila a gift… a keychain with a note inside that explains that she will always be there for her. Not to mention, she also left her phone number on the note as well. After dinner, Tila wants to simply cuddle. The couple share some laughs and a passionate kiss.

Now it’s Bobby’s turn at a final date with Tila, who admits she wants to see more heart from him. They meet up in the ultra-romantic grotto. Bobby gives her a present… a blank songbook to write in. He explains that he was extremely happy to see Tila so happy in the studio and continuing with the success of her career. Bobby wrote a note inside thanking her for their times together, regardless if he is chosen or not. The couple share a passionate kiss, which Bobby admits to being the sexiest kiss he’s ever had.

This is it… the final elimination. Tila explains her emotions of excitement and nervousness. A teary-eyed Tila explains to Dani and Bobby that she has come to love the both of them and that this decision was far harder than she expected. She goes on to further explain what qualities she has come to love in both of them and thanks them both for opening their hearts to her. Tila Tequila wants to take a shot at love with… Bobby.

After a long kiss with Bobby, Tila remembers Dani, who has already begun walking back to the house. Tila yells for her and chases down Dani. They embrace and Tila breaks down, explaining that it isn’t easy for her.

Tila takes Bobby up to her room, which he has never seen. In the end, she chose a man.

If you’re a certain age and perhaps of a certain sexual orientation you know what I’m talking about.MTV’s hot reality show “A Shot at Love With Tila Tequila” ends tonight with Tequila choosing between a 29-year-old female firefighter, Dani, and a 25-year-old male student, Bobby. The premise of the show is that Tequila is a bisexual, so both men and women vied for her affection on camera. And if you don’t know who Tila Tequila is, well, you can head on over to MySpace.com/tilatequila along with about 2 million other people.”It’s a guilty pleasure,” said Sheela Lambert, founder of Biwriters.org, who writes about bisexuals in the media on her blog Bidar. “It’s the right kind of sexy and ridiculous emotional meltdown.”

Sexy and ridiculous, as in body shots, bikinis and bondage — 24/7. But for bisexuals the show is also a mixed blessing.

“This current television season, we’ve witnessed a trend,” said Lambert. “It’s both shocking and delightful that there are more bisexuals on television. But with this show there are mixed feelings. Some people really hate the show. Some people are concerned about the image. If we weren’t worried about our image it would be really fun to watch. I mean people wear nothing but bikinis all day and give lap dances to grandmas.”

Despite, or perhaps because of, the camp factor, MTV seems to have a minor hit on its hands. “A Shot at Love With Tila Tequila” is one of the cable channels’ most-watched shows. And the show also often places in the Top 15 most-watched shows on all of cable.

There’s no question that being “bi” is hipper than being heterosexual right now — at least on television. “Nip/Tuck,” the “L word,” “Cashmere Mafia” all have characters who are “bi” or who have “bi” tendencies.

But there also seems to be something about Tila Tequila herself — a 25-year-old Internet sensation known for having more friends than anyone else on MySpace — 2,481,140 to be exact.

John Kubicek of Buddy TV, a Web site that tracks television content, said the show is a fan favorite on the site. “People enjoy her. They think she’s is fun and light and energetic and sexy.

Tequila would seem to be an improbable sex symbol. She is a 25-year-old French-Vietnamese former calendar model who grew up on the mean streets of Houston. She’s not tall, not blond and definitely more kewpie doll than Barbie doll. Sure she’s busty, but so are millions of other women on the Internet and they don’t have their own reality show.

“She’s not your typical American beauty queen. … There is an exotic nature and flavor to her beauty. But beyond her physical looks she is so in charge of and comfortable with her sexuality. She isn’t afraid to flaunt it. And she makes no excuses for it,” said Yvonne Fulbright, an author and sexologist who runs the Web site SexualitySource.com.

Fulbright added that sexiness often has nothing to do with looks. “Really, what it boils down to is attitude. What makes a woman sexy, whether she is pretty or homely, is all about how she embraces herself, her confidence in the bedroom and out.”

That simple concept may have some deep evolutionary underpinnings.

Nonphysical attributes such as respect, familiarity, willingness to work hard, and shared goals may contribute as much or more to the perception of attractiveness than youth or beauty, said Kevin Kniffin, an evolutionary anthropologist and honorary fellow at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

For his research study, Kniffin showed students some photos from a yearbook. The photos were of people they know and didn’t know. The participants consistently rated the people they had positive feelings for as more attractive. And the people they didn’t like — as unattractive.

“Our findings confirm that for some people at least there’s more to beauty than meets the eye,” said Kniffin.

Tequila’s fans do their best to articulate their feelings on her MySpace Page: “I think u r awesome and sexy as hell and I love that u r independent.”

Tequila herself writes, “People love me for some reason. I don’t know why. … I do but I just say I don’t know why just to be modest. I want to be a multi-millionaire by the time I reach 25 years of age. And I will.”

Probably so.

She sells Tequila “merch” on her site and also has a budding recording career with songs like “Stripper Friends” and “Paralyze” that fans can download off her site. Currently, MTV has a reality reunion show scheduled for Dec. 23, and Tequila is also due to host New Year’s Eve Masquerade 2008.

There’s even talk of another season of “A Shot at Love With Tila Tequila.”

So, these days, kewpie doll plus MySpace plus bisexuality equals success. Take that, Barbie.

Tila Tequila made an appearance at the 2007 Video Game Awards in a sexy revealing black dress. She was really excited to be at the Video Game Awards (2007) because she said that all of the other red carpet events she’s been to weren’t as crazy as the VGA’s. Season Finale – A Shot at Love with Tila Tequila
In the season finale shocker of A Shot at Love Tila Tequila chose Bobby the student over Dani the firefighter! It seems like a lot of viewers and fans of the show were rooting for Dani to bring home the gold. She had everything going for her – a great family, a masculine job, and according to some good looks. Unfortunately, Dani was sent home empty handed.The last episode of A Shot at Love had a lot going on. The episode titled “I Choose…” was going to give Bobby and Dani a first hand experience to the daily life of Tila Tequila. First, Bobby and Dani were brought to the recording studio. They had to write lyrics to Tila’s hit song “I Love U” and sing them aloud in the studio. Bobby sucked and Dani was a little better. Second, Bobby and Dani went to a photo shoot where they dressed in formal wear and jungle themed outfits. After the photo shoot Tila left the two to get ready for dinner later that night. The dinner consisted of Vietnamese food and Bobby’s mother, step father, and brother as well as Dani’s mother and cousin came through the front door. They ate a very awkward meal together.

The Final One-on-One Dates
Dani was first to go on the final one-on-one date with Tila. She gave Tila a keychain and a note telling her that she would be there for her forever. Bobby’s date was a little more romantic and sexy with Tila in a two piece bikini. Bobby gave Tila an empty songbook and a juicy make out session soon followed. What happened next? Tila wanted a shot a love with Bobby.The End?

Rumor has it that there will be a second show featuring Tila Tequila in search for more love.
